Main route
The Main train route crossing Terni is the line ROMA-ANCONA.
Terni can also be reached via the ROMA-FIRENZE
line, by changing train at Orte.
Train schedule
This is a link to the FS official site, through which you should easily be able
to figure what route you should be taking according to the location you are
leaving from.
Coming from south: Take the Autostrada
del Sole (A1) towards Firenze, exit at Orte and
proceed to the ORTE-TERNI.
Coming from Viterbo: Take the S.S. 1bis to Orte
and there proceed to the ORTE-TERNI.
Coming from North: Take the Autostrada del Sole
(A1) towards Roma, exit at Valdichiana and then
proceed to the BETTOLLE-PERUGIA, superstrada E45 PERUGIA-TERNI.
Another route taking the Autostrada del Sole (A1)
towards Roma, exit at Orte, and then continue on the ORTE-TERNI.
Scenic routes
Leaving from Roma (or from the Marche) take the strada statale 3 (Flaminia)
until you reach Terni (S.S.3 continues on to Spoleto, Foligno and on until it
meets the Adriatic).
Leaving from the Marche, take the strada statale 256 to Norcia and then switch
to the Valnerina (stada statale 209) to Terni.
Terni does not have an airport. However, the following airports are reasonably close:
